Our Mission To Promote the growth of tennis in our community |
WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE 2023 KCTA WEBSITE
On behalf of the 2023 KCTA Executive Board we are looking forward to another great outdoor season of tennis.
For those who are not familiar with KCTA we wish you to be aware of who and what we are! The KCTA had its beginnings way back in 1984 in partnership with the Township of King, which continues to this day, with our great appreciation.KCTA was started by several great individuals who volunteered their time and energy to start a community tennis club.
It was then and remains to this day, a nonprofit volunteer organization.
We have a Constitution containing rules and regulations which you can read on our 2023 website.
All of the KCTA Board members through the last 38 years have been volunteers who receive No remuneration for their time and efforts, to provide a great tennis experience for our community tennis players of all ages , each and every year.
Being a nonprofit it is important for all to know that the money collected from people joining and purchasing seasonal memberships, All goes towards the operations and constant upkeep of our two lighted court facility and Clubhouse.
We are always looking for new volunteers to assist us in bringing a quality facility product , and tennis experience to our community, so if you are interested in helping, please feel free to talk to or contact me, Paul Ward, 2023 KCTA President at:
It is however necessary for us to wait until we experience several consecutive days of good weather with appropriate warmer temperatures.
As soon as the weather permits we will ask for volunteers on a Saturday to put - up windscreens , tennis nets , and clean - up the grounds surrounding our tennis facility. Once we can determine a Saturday date to ready our KCTA facility we welcome volunteers and their assistance.
2023 MEMBERSHIP AND PROGRAMS INFORMATION:
We will soon be sending out an email with clear instructions on how to renew your KCTA 2023 membership.
Our current members, just like last year, will have to renew and update all personal information (name, address, city, phone number, email, etc.) through your kingcitytennis.com account.
Once KCTA has received your 2023 membership payment, you will automatically receive a payment receipt email which includes the lock combination to the facilities.
Members will then be authorized to register for any KCTA programs.
Two of KCTA's very popular programs are Monday Night House League and our Jr. Tennis Camp ( July and August).
Please know that programs have limited spaces available and early registration is recommended.
KCTA is again very happy to have Markus Ziegler, our OTA Certified Tennis Pro, returning for another season.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the JFK program is no longer available: Eileen came to the KCTA board many years ago with nothing more than an idea and a handful of donated kids racquets. Eileen spent hours generating enthusiasm and each year added more kids, more age groups, and more “future stars”. She succeeded in her goal which was nothing more than instilling the love of tennis in young kids. Her message to you, “You are the best to allow me to introduce tennis to your kids”. We wish Eileen the best in her future endeavours. If you are interested in continuing with tennis for your child please consider reaching out to Markus Ziegler, KCTA Head Pro at mrksziegler@yahoo.com or 647-866-3317. Markus offers junior lessons from ages 5 and up, clinics and summer camps.
Thank you all for supporting your community tennis club.
See you on the courts,
Paul Ward KCTA President
